Monthly Favourites: October

Well well, it's been a long time since I've written one of these. Sorry I've been MIA most of the year flitting back and forth from blogging. I'm not gonna say this time will be any different but I'm feeling really inspired so just watch this space. I've been loving some new beauty additions to my collection so let me give you the low down.

Benefit 3D Brow Tones
I've written a full blog post on the Benefit brow range here but this one has to be my favourite. My brows are in desperate need of a HD treatment so to tame them I use this on a morning, the wand contains enough product to add some colour as well as giving them a bit more depth and dimension. The formula tends to stay in place all day without leaving them with that dry crispy feeling.

Real Techniques Miracle Mini Eraser Sponge
This is an obvious dupe for the Beauty Blender Micro Mini but I couldn't tell you how they compare as I've only ever used the RT sponges. This comes in a set of two and I love these for applying concealer under my eyes, baking the concealer with powder or cleaning up any eyeshadow mistakes. They're slightly firmer than the larger face sponge by RT but when damp they soften up. If you're after the Beauty Blender minis but don't fancy the price tag then I highly recommend these.

Estee Lauder Double Wear Extreme Mascara
I've never seen this in stores and it's not on the Estee Lauder website but I picked this up from Manchester duty free back in August and it's been my go-to mascara ever since. The wand is significantly smaller than the original Double Wear Mascara wand and resembles the Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara but slightly thicker meaning it's perfect for getting into the corner lashes and bottom lashes without looking like a panda. It has the long lasting double wear formula which is the only one that doesn't smudge around my eyes but removes easily using any cleanser.

Becca Aqua Luminous Perfecting Concealer
This was an impulse buy when I stumbled upon the new Space NK in York (which by the way is A-MAZING), I was searching for a good coverage concealer which was also suited for dry skin and hey presto, this one from Becca is just that. I got the shade fair which is perfect for my NC15 skin tone. The coverage is medium to buildable depending on the finish you desire but it's also lightweight to apply under the eye and conceal any dark circles. If you're lazy like me this is a great concealer for a quick morning routine cause it does just about everything.

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Pearl
I love watching Nikkie Tutorials on Youtube and she is all about that glow, she really knows how to make a highlight pop and on my quest for a white pearly strobe like highlighter I stumbled upon this. The Shimmering Skin Perfectors are renowned in the blogging world and ever since picking this up it's a step I never forget. It's a pale, silver-toned pearl which really shines when the light hits it. A full blog post/review with swatches is coming soon!

What have you been loving during October? Have you tried any of these products?
