Bobbi Brown Long Wear Even Finish Foundation

There's nothing I love more than a good foundation, I'm one of those people who spends most time on my base and trying to get it flawless. I suck at eyeliner and I'm not that fantastic at eyeshadow either so I'm someone who would rather get the base on point, work on my contour and make sure my skin looks poreless. If I had to choose on make up item for the rest of my life it would probably be foundation.

So on that note there's no wonder I'm bringing another foundation review to you. I picked up the Bobbi Brown Long Wear Even Finish Foundation on a whim, not really reading much into the foundation but after searching for something long wearing I opted for this. There's a new stand alone store in my local town so in I popped and graced the unapproachable staff with my concerns. The only friendly member of staff colour matched me, applied to my face and off I went £32.50 lighter.

I've been using this most days for around 3 weeks and what I can say is, it is long lasting. The formula tends to work well with my dry dehydrated skin type so I apply this on a morning usually without a primer and 11 hours later when I return home it's still there. It does tend to slip off areas that can become oily during the day such as my forehead, around my nose and chin area but it's not often my skin ever gets oily and if I'm suffering from a particularly dry patch on my skin the foundation can sink into these areas making it look a little cakey.

The colour match is perfect, I'm a Mac nc15-nc20 skin tone so the shade Warm Ivory looks like my skin but better. The coverage is definitely light to medium and buildable depending on the finish you desire. I personally like to wear a heavier coverage so I build it up and try to inject as much moisture into my skin beforehand to stop it sinking into those dry patches.

The foundation is nice, it isn't a groundbreaking formula. It's purely just nice. If you're after something that you can wear for work without having to worry about reapplying anymore make up I recommend you give this a go but if you're after something to give your skin a bit of ooomph then give it a miss.
