If you're a long standing reader of BethBlogsBeauty you'll know I love my foundations, I'm an addict and my collection is mainly taken over by various bases so there's no wonder I jumped at the chance to try the highly coveted Georgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation.
It was hard to choose which shade I was over the internet, not having a counter near me I couldn't go in store to test it out so after searching the internet for various swatches and reviews I opted for shade 4 which is a perfect match for my NC15 skin tone (Mac references are always best).
The coverage is medium but can be built up depending on your desired finish. I really like that even though it is a luminous, dewy finish foundation it isn't a sheer coverage. At the moment my skin is very dry and dull looking due to the cold weather so wearing this gives my skin a serious radiance boost and makes me look human again. Because I'm suffering with dry skin at the moment I did expect this to cake or cling to my skin but due to the light fluid texture it sits on my skin flawlessly and doesn't clog any pores. I apply my concealer, powder and the rest of my make up and without using a primer and/or setting spray, the foundation lasts 8-9 hours before I see signs of it wearing off, sometimes I have found I've been able to skip powder depending on how much glow I'm wanting. I'm not one of these girls who carries around a spare bag of make up or has time to so if I invest in a product I want it to last all day and this certainly does.
The packaging is sleek and seriously luxe so it feels luxurious using this product and having a pump attached to the bottle is a welcome treat. It irritates me no end when higher end foundations don't include a pump as I feel so much product gets wasted. The foundation retails for £37 here which is around the average price mark for a high end foundation but I feel you get various finishes and coverage in one product. If you've been eyeing this up like I was then take the plunge, there's a reason it's a celebrity favourite and anything Kim Kardashian uses is good enough for me. Try the foundation and blame me for your bank balance later.
