The Neo-Bronzer

Hello my name is Beth and I have a spending problem. I'm not one of these people who rationally thinks about a purchase, I'm an impulse buyer and I probably always will be; so as you can imagine when I stumbled upon the Space NK website and saw this beauty that made the blogger in me squeal with excitement, you know it had to go into my basket immediately.

An aesthetically pleasing all-in-one face palette created by Kevyn Aucoin for us beauty lovers to achieve a sun kissed glow with ease. From a peach toned highlighter to mid toned rose pink blusher and finishing with a deep bronzer with red-brown undertones. Typically I'm not a blusher girl and this packs in far more blusher than I expected because of the ombré effect so you can't be heavy handed with this. The pigmentation of this can't be faulted and the powder is so soft and finely milled but you do have to be careful otherwise you may give Ronald McDonald a run for his money. The desired colour combination can be achieved with how much or little you want to apply, personally for me I like a soft natural finish and using a light hand this was easily achieved, the powder sat well on my skin, didn't cake or emphasise any blemishes or pores.

Although the palette gives a beautiful natural flush it's definitely something I would pick up and use when I feel my face looks one dimensional. I do need to embrace blusher and start experimenting with my make up routine but I've been a bronze girl for so long I'm not sure how I'll fair. If you can recommend a good blusher brush then let me know below, maybe if I find a good one I could be a blusher convert. Hey, I said maybe!

Kylie Lip Kit in Koko K

When Kylie Jenner released her lip kit, I was like every other girl out there desperate to try them. Kylie's promise of matte lips in her trademark nude shade got all us giddy with excitement so naturally they all sold out within minutes and ever since they've been like gold dust.

I managed to get my hands on Koko K which is a pink nude with a mauve undertone and not dissimilar to my natural lip colour so I find this was the best shade choice for my skintone. I was originally eyeing up Dolce K but as it's a darker nude, it would wash me out. Once I applied Koko K, the colour sets slightly darker than original application but I find this looks best on me and suits my complexion.

The lip liner is the most perfect match for the liquid lipstick, nothing annoys me more than trying to find a matching lip liner when applying lipstick so I really do like that the kits come with a matching liner. I have no complaints about the quality of the products, the lip liner is very pigmented, creamy and glides on effortlessly giving great colour payoff. I've found that I prefer these liners to Mac; liners I've purchased from Mac previously have been dry and chalky.

The liquid lipstick is in a sleek tube with a doe foot applicator which makes for a precise application; the product dries within 60 seconds maximum and the finish is super matte with no flaking, drying or smudging in sight. This stuff really packs its punch in longevity, even through eating and drinking it lasts hours, meaning the most I've ever had to reapply this during one day was once.

The lip kits are on the pricier side, retailing around £30 which I feel is good value for money as you are getting a high quality lip liner and liquid lipstick but if you are lucky enough to pick one of these up, you are stung with customs charges around £12. I'll leave that up to you to decide whether it's worth it...

Benefit Brow Game

Previously I've always found Benefit to be a bit gimmicky - there I said it - I never really got on with the products but the packaging won me over. The new brow range rolled around and yeah, I was sold. Brows really do frame your face, it's only thing I always make sure I tend to whether that's just a coat of brow gel or go to town and define them. I've built up quite the Benefit brow collection over the past month and I've tried and tested most so here's the low down:

3D Brow Tones | A traditional tinted brow gel with a twist, unlike your tinted brow gels this promises to add highlights to create depth and dimension to your brows. The colour is a perfect match for me and not to mention the formula is long lasting but what I love most about this product is the brush; a plastic brush which distributes product perfectly but the key feature is the spiked tip which allows you to build up colour where you need it and fill in the smallest of areas.

Ka-Brow | Think of this as a sister to the Anastasia Dip Brow, very similar in consistency and longevity but there's just something in this that makes me love it more than DP. The packaging is super handy, coming with a little brush that's attached to the lid and I can safely say that after using the brush, going back to the Zoeva 322, it just isn't cutting it anymore. The brush included with the Ka-Brow is small, compact and makes filling in brows effortless giving you those Instagram worthy brows everyone is after.

Ready, Set, Brow | A clear brow gel claiming to give 24 hours of wear and tame the most unruliest of brows. The double sided wand allows you to coat every single hair locking in make up and keeping brows in place, use the shorter side to come through the front of the brows and the longer bristles to lock the shape into place. This dries absolutely clear so you don't have to worry about flaking; a serious pet peeve of mine when it comes to clear brow gel. Psst Another freebie with Marie Claire this month.

Gimme Brow | A brow enhancing gel with fibres to create natural fullness and definition. With a tapered brush, the Gimme Brow covers all areas of brow enhancing from building up the volume of your brows, to adding colour and definition and finally, setting them in place. Again, another freebie with Glamour mag.

If you're wanting to try some of the Benefit products, be sure to check online where you can find a sample of the Goof Proof brow pencil and at your local newsagents as Marie Claire and Glamour are both running collaborations with Benefit.

By Terry Sun Designer Palette

From the intricate product detail to the beautiful limited edition packaging, there's no wonder this beauty from By Terry caught my eye. An all in one face palette which promises to give your face a radiant finish and sun kissed glow. With a selection of highlighters, bronzers and blusher, there's perfect choice for any look you're after; all rolled into one handy, travel friendly palette.

By Terry is a brand that exudes luxury and I am yet to come across a product that isn't worth the price tag; this palette is no exception to the brand. I picked up the palette in Light Tan Vibes which is the lighter of the two palettes By Terry have released and it's a perfect match for my porcelain skin tone; the powders are pigmented, finely milled and silky soft. The three smaller shades on the left of the palette have a shimmer/slight frosted finish which gives a beautiful glow in the sunlight; whereas the other three larger shades are matte and the colour selection is perfect for contour and adding warmth to the face. The powders blend onto the skin like a dream, my favourite combination is to use the darker bronze shade to warm up my face, the soft coral blush on my cheekbones and highlight using the peachy shimmer powder.

When I head to Greece next month this will be the first and main item to go in my make up bag, the palette is a perfect size meaning it saves on room and luggage allowance. If you're after a multi-tasking product to give you that goddess glow then I recommend hitting your nearest By Terry stockists quick.
