By Terry are a brand I've heard so much about and always wanted to try, so when it came to the Very Exclusive launch, the brand was available on there and me being me, I couldn't just pass them by could I?
I picked up two of the Ombre Blackstars, one in the shade Bronze Moon and the other in Misty Rock. These have been all over Youtube and the bloggersphere and like the magpie I am, I was immediately drawn to the luxury gold packaging and the promise of long wearing eyeshadow. I am not blessed in my eyeshadow abilities, to be honest I'm a bit of a novice and that added to oily eyelids (about the only area of me that is oily), eyeshadow can usually look like one big mess.
Bronze Moon really is a unique shade (pictured below), in certain lights it looks quite brown but in the sunlight it can also look quite metallic giving off a slightly copper toned shadow, I've found this as a great base to build up a darker bronze smokey eye or worn all over the lid and blended out for a wash of colour.
Misty Rock is a pinky purple shade which is unlike anything I've ever owned, the silver shimmer running through it gives the colour an extra dimension almost giving your eyes that wet look and again depending on how you want the look, you can really build up the colour or just apply a light layer for a subtle hint of colour. I've found having blue eyes this shade really compliments my eye colour and it's great to wear a different colour.
Lets just take a moment to appreciate the packaging, it's totally luxury as well as being so handy to drop into your handbag or make up bag if you're wanting to travel. It's highly unlikely you'll need to touch these up as when they've dried they do not budge and stay in place all day. The formula is creamy and pigmented so you'll never have to carry around multiple eyeshadows again.
