Revlon ColorBurst Lacquer Balm in Demure

I'm so late on the bandwagon with these, when the Balm Stains were released, I purchased the shade Lovesick and from then, it's been applied on my lips around once and it's never seen the light of day again. So when I saw the lacquer and matte versions of the balms I swatched to high heaven on my arm every time I went into Boots and all of a sudden found myself head over heels with the shade Demure. A typical Beth offering, how predictable can I be? This is a beautiful pink nude with specks of glitter running through but the glitter is very subtle. I personally think the glitter in the balm adds to the finish when it's applied, making my lips look glossy and full. The colour really suits me, it's more of an everyday colour in my opinion and one I can apply on the go thanks to it's handbag friendly packaging. The staying power of these isn't fantastic, like any glossy lipstick they tend to wear off quicker but this is handy enough to have you on the go that you don't need to worry about the wear off and the £8 price tag doesn't make you feel guilty for being a bit heavy handed - I was, especially after a few glasses of vino. The pencil like applicator makes it easy for a correct application and the best bit? No sharpening! This twists up dispensing more product once you've worn it down and this in my eyes is a huge bonus, anyone else hate having to sharpen pencils and feel like you're losing so much product? Well not with this.

Revlon have 9 other shades in the Lacquer Balms and I've been eyeing up the shade Coquette which is a bright blue toned pink, because lets face it I really need to branch out of my nude lipstick bubble.
