Makeup Revolution Blush & Contour Palette

When I made my Makeup Revolution haul, I also picked up this Blush & Contour Palette in Hot Spice. I was undecided against the two but living up to my typical self, I opted for the orangey tones and I haven't looked back since. The palette contains 8 shades, blushers which are matte or shimmer finish, a merged baked highlighter and a merged baked blusher. The tones in the palette is warm and nearly almost of the colours are coral/orange toned.

First thing I'll say is that the packaging of this palette is incredible, the casing is sturdy and strong meaning it's travel friendly and the big mirror is ideal for touch ups on the go. The packaging of this reminds me of the MAC palettes, although this isn't as flimsy. The palette is a good size meaning you can put this in your make up bag but if it doesn't fit, it'll happily slip into a side pocket of your handbag and you don't have to worry about it breaking - a big bonus for us girls travelling at the crack of dawn.

Now lets get onto the good stuff, the product itself. If you want a blusher range the same as MAC and quality as good as NARS, then pick up this palette for yourself. The colours of this palette remind me of the MAC blushers and the quality of them is just as good as NARS, a tiny bit on the brush is enough. These blushers are so pigmented it's easy to go overboard and look like a clown but a tiny bit dusted over the cheeks gives a wash of colour which will see you through to the end of the day. The only downside to this palette is that it's marketed as a blush and contour palette but for myself personally, I'm too pale to be able to use any of the shades as a contour, I think they're still a bit too red/coral based to use a contour. This isn't a huge deal for me as I tend to skip the contour step (#fatfaceproblems) so I use each shade as a blush.

Another wonderful product from Makeup Revolution, I can't believe how high quality and affordable the products are. I'm seriously impressed with everything I've tried so far and I think it's about time to make another haul... Well, it's been payday afterall.
