New Beauty Additions

It's very rare that I find something I don't like, this blog is usually filled with products I love but sometimes some things just don't make the cut. I was recently sent these three products to try, big thanks to Beka for that, but I certainly wasn't wow'd by them.

Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Tender Night* It might just be the colour but this is useless. First off it's blue tinted and then the colour pay off is so poor. This gives you a bluey/purple iridescent tinge to your lips only slightly enhancing your natural lip colour. A lot of product has to be used to eventually get any colour but even then it's practically non existent. I certainly wouldn't fork out £21 big bucks for this. I love Nars but for me, this has been a huge disappointment.

Decleor BB 24hr Moisture Activator* Another disappointment, I love my light coverage and tinted moisturisers but unless you're one skin tone, this isn't for you. The colour is far too dark for me and I'm so disappointed this only comes in one shade especially from such a big brand. The coverage is very minimal and it just doesn't agree with my skin, by the afternoon it had disappeared. Definitely not worth the £29 retail price.

Seascape Island Apothecary Uplift Body Lotion* I can't make my mind up about this to be honest, it's most liked out of the lot but moisturising? Only temporarily. The smell is lovely with Lavender and energising lime but I really don't rate this much. The scent easily wears off and that soft skin feeling is gone within a day.

A disappointing batch from the beauty stash but you can't have it all, can you!

  4. I've always wanted to try one of those Nars Lip Pencils because everyone raves about them, but I now definitely know which shade to avoid! :)

  8. that Nars pencil looks absolutely gorgeous, I'd have never guessed it was rubbish. At least the packaging of the Seascape is pretty even if you weren't keen on the product lol. New follower here :) xx

  9. I've just the NARS velvet gloss and satin lip pencils and they are both incredibly pigmented, maybe it's just the matte ones, it's a shame :( Hate it when I find a disappointing product :( xx

The seascape packaging looks lovely, but I've never tried it.

  11. Adore the NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencils. Pick up the shade Roman Holiday at Sephora in Barcelona a while ago and it's one of my all time favourite pink lip products :D
