Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer

Deep down, I will always be a full coverage girl, no matter how much I spend or how many tinted moisturiser and BB creams I buy, full coverage will always be my favourite. So naturally when I heard about the Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer, I knew I had to have it. This pure foundation pigment is describe as the beginning of foundation, this is the base to most foundations out there before other properties are added. Mixed with moisturisers, foundations or used on its own, the coverage using this product is buildable. The most minuscule amount of this can transform you're foundation to full coverage, I like to add this to my Mac Studio Sculpt or for good skin days, the Chantecialle Just Skin. Sounds perfect right? And it is, but there is some bad news. The first ingredient to this is mineral oil and if you read Caroline Hirons blog, she'd tell you to stay away. Personally for me, I've had no problems with this and it really works well for my skin but I have heard its caused some problems for other people. If this is something you're interested in, the lovely girls at Space NK will match you up and apply it to your skin. This stuff has definitely been a night out essential, doesn't budge, matte finish and good coverage! Well done, Mr Aucoin, well done!

  1. I've wanted to try this for a while but didn't know about the mineral oils, which Caroline Herons has also scared the bejesus into me about, so still unsure. Would you say there are any similar products out there that give such an adjustable level of coverage?

    Great post!

  2. This looks lovely! Your blog and photography are beautiful as well, by the way :) x
