The Bank Holiday Facial
Too many nights out, not enough sleep and excessive consumption of alcohol has left my skin feeling dry, tight and looking lack lustre this bank holiday so commence operation The Bank Holiday Facial. Firstly we start off with removing the impurities, my skin is a blemish prone at the moment and I have the odd blackhead here and there so I turn to the Aesop Parsley Seed Mask, a traditional clay mask which sets on the skin and makes you unable to move your face, left on for 10 minutes and my skin feels thoroughly cleansed and pore size is reduced. Next on to the exfoliation, I used to be an abrassive grain scrub kinda gal but through blog searching, I've found that they can cause broken capillaries and damage the skin so chemical exfoliants are the way forward and enter REN Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask, packed with AHA's and fruit acids, this mask leaves my skin exfoliated and the texture of my skin has dramatically improved. Next, the pre-moisturiser prep, a pump of the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo on problem areas such as my forehead and chin, this gel unblocks and purifies the pores and reduces the size of blemises. It works well under moisturiser and serums and sinks into the skin quickly. Of course, the final element is hydration, the Kiehls Midnight Recovery Serum is blended with a heavenly scent of essential oils, this works overnight to replace moisture and improve skintone, and that it does! When I wake up, my skin is hydrated and glowing. Andddddd finally! For those pesky skin days, a treatment is added on alternate days. I picked up the Alpha H Liquid Gold sample from a Cult Beauty order and I sweep this all over my face with a cotton pad. One word for this, strong! For me, I'm not sure if it's love or hate yet, I'll keep you posted... Thats my post Bank Holiday evening sorted, how about yours?
