The Lazy Girls Guide To Make-Up

Hello my name is Beth and I'm the queen of lazy make-up. Here I will talk you through my easy, stress-free steps to glowing skin with minimal effort...

Nars Laguna Bronzer: £24; Chantecialle Just Skin: £57; Maybelline The Falsies mascara: £7.99; Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch concealer: £6.99; Gosh Eyebrow Palette: £7.49; Shu Uemura eyelash curler: £16 Buyapowa

Tools: Real Techniques Buffing Brush, Real Techniques Contour Brush, Real Techniques Blush brush.

Firstly after my morning skincare is done, I will leave my moisturiser to sink in for around 5 minutes, then I take a pea sized amount of the Chantecialle Just Skin on the RT Buffing Brush and buff it into my skin. I find that a large pea sized amount covers the whole face and leaves a natural finish (for info on coverage and a review - it's here). For those nasties, I dab the Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch concealer under the eyes and onto any redness - I find this even works well for blemishes. I blend in the concealer using the RT contour brush, I find this is the perfect size for getting into any nooks and crannies.

Now onto the eyes, I let my skin settle, let the product dry and sink into the skin before I go further. I take my trusty Gosh Eyebrow palette and fill in my brows. Luckily they tend to stay in the same shape so I just mix the light brown with the dark brown and brush through the brows. If I'm going all out, I will add some wax to set but I don't do this day to day. Secondly, onto the lashes, I'm armed with my Shu Uemura Eyelash curlers - which are a cult beauty product and now I know why, these make my eyelashes super curled and with lashings of Maybelline Falsies mascara, I've got super long fluttering lashes.

And finally, to give my skin some warmth. I dust Nars Laguna bronzer over my cheekbones, temples and neck with the RT Blush Brush to give me a glow. This stuff is very pigmented so a little dusted over the face warms me up and gives my Casper skin a healthy colour.

There we have it, my guide to easy make-up and everyday routine. Who'd have thought it? A 5 product face!

  2. I'm pretty lazy when it comes to makeup too but sometimes I like to take time because I just enojoy the application process - sad of me I know!

I have heard so many good things about the Maybelline concealer being a dupe for the YSL Touche Eclat and I'm wanting to try both of them out! I'm also desperate to try NARS Laguna! I think I might just have to treat myself!xxx

  12. I love this low maintenance look idea. I feel like I use a million products on a regular basis and sometimes I need to take the 'less is more' approach. Great post!
