The Red Lip

Very late on the scene but I've mastered the red lip that will give even Rita Ora a run for her money... Well, sort of. I may not have her trusty Mac Ruby Woo lipstick in hand but an amateur like me needs the basics and I've found two highstreet products to create the look.

Rimmel Kate Moss Matte Lipstick in 110: £5.49, Topshop Lip Liner in Deception: £5.00

Application is simple, I line my lips with the Topshop Lip Liner in Deception - the colour has a deep red undertone but it's so subtle. The formula is creamy and glides over the lips like a dream, no pulling at the skin and no chalky dry liners here thank you!
Now onto the star of the show - Rimmel Kate Moss Matte Lipstick in 110, this orange toned red is a firm favourite in my collection now. With my NC15 skintone, I've tried and failed with reds but this shade is so complimentary that it's suits the paler of us girls. Ahh hail Kate Moss! Wow, never thought I'd say that...

Have you tried any of the Rimmel Kate Moss range?

  2. I have a couple of lipsticks from both of the Kate Moss Rimmel lipstick range. I don't have this one, but I'm also pale and never can find a red to suit me - will add to my mental list to try! xx

  4. I havent tried the Kate Moss lipstick as I've heard they're very matte and my lips are awful, they're gorgeous shades though! My red calling at the moment is from old Barry M, I need a decent lipliner though so may have to check out topshop

  7. I really like the Kate Moss range for Topshop - I have a one from the most recent line, the burgundy one (forgot the number!) which is very matte. It stays on for a very long time and it's super easy to apply! I might get some other ones from this line, I am definitely a fan! Oh, and a fan of red lips, too! :) x

  14. I have/had a nude one from Kate's line (that is not matte though and the packaging is black) and I loved it very much! I wore it every day out until the day I misplaced it :( If I were still living in England I would just straight across to Boots to repurchase it cause that was definitely one of the best lippies I have ever used
