Zaggora HotTop and Flares

Hello dolls! A bit of a different post on the blog today, and its all about fitness. Bad time of year and one too many mince pies have left me feeling a bit poop and I've put on some pounds which I'm dying to shift so when the lovely Dinah from Zaggora offered to send me some new gym stuff, I have no excuse to not exercise.

Zaggora HotTop: £50*, Flares: £70*

I'm working full time now so I'm not gym mad, hate it infact but I've found myself doing the odd bit and using my at-home kits to help me get more active.

Onto the clothes... Lets start with the top. First of all, I will say THESE MAKE YOU SWEAT and A LOT. The HotTop is the style of top you see avid runners wearing around town while you guzzle your full fat hot chocolate and pain au chocolate. I opted for the pink for a bit of brightness.
Once I tried it on, I knew it wasn't for me. I'm terribly body conscious and find this style unsuitable for someone who is "bigger", the material is tight and clings to every lump and bump so if you are that way inclined, you'd probably feel the same.

And now the Flares. These are probably my favourite out of the two. They're full length (legs are my concern, I will have Nadine Coyles legs - google if you don't know who I mean) and fit really well. These get so warm and even when trying them on and walking around the house they were getting hot. They're flattering but they're SO LOUD. The material is kind of like wetsuit material so when your legs move, they make such a racket - definitely can't slip in and out of the gym unnoticed in these bad boys.

Now do they work? Zaggora claim that wearing their clothes during exercise will increase body temperate meaning you sweat more and lose more inches. I personally found that they didn't work especially after I exercised and drank more water, the lost inches were just replaced with the water I drank. I didn't find any improvement on cellulite either.

All in all, the clothes are great quality, well made and look very stylish at the gym, so if you're wanting to look smokin', head down to Zaggora.com, but for weight loss? Maybe stick to your yoga pants and M&S tee!

  1. Lovely review! I desperately want to try these, and see if the excessive sweating helps me, or just puts me off. They are quite a strange concept, I've heard good and bad things about them. It doesn't put me off though, may have to have a spurge seems I'm on a health kick atm :D

  2. Great review. I've considered buying stuff like this but at the end of the day I think I just need to get down to business and do the exercise for myself rather than expecting a miracle product!

  4. I've just ordered the Flares. There are 1000's of reviews online saying how brilliant they are for weight loss and skin improvement from all the sweating. I'm going to wear mine to spinning. :)
