Lately

  • Firstly, thank you all so much for the amazing response to my 'When Does Enough Become Not Enough' post. It was really nice to read all your supportive comments. It was interesting to find out that some of you felt the same about friends and jobs. I've found that after getting it all off my chest, I feel a lot better. Maybe I just needed an outlet and my blog provided that. Thank god for this little thing!

  • After such a positive response and moaning about my part time job, I attended an interview on Friday and I GOT THE JOB! I will be working full time to train as a Dispenser in a pharmacy. I'm so so pleased, I've previously worked in a pharmacy and always wanted to do dispensing so I'm very happy and it's something I feel I can really progress in and get something out of the job. A shop job just wasn't cutting it so you can imagine how happy I am to be starting a new job. I'm starting 2013 with a new job and a more positive outlook. I do love beauty and I'd love a job in it, but there's nothing stopping me in the future. Right now, I feel like I've been given this opportunity and I'm gonna grab it while I can.

  • If you're a regular reader of my blog, you'll know I featured a post about being unhappy with my weight and wanting to become more healthy. I'll be honest and since writing it, it's been a bit up and down but recently I've found that I've become really put off meat to the point it makes me feel physically sick (the trigger of this was a dodgy Chinese and a spring roll that was seriously off - fortunately I didn't eat it, but when I bit into it, it tasted disgusting and smelt absolutely foul). I've turned to eating vegetarian meals and I'm finding it so easy. I still eat fish because that doesn't make me feel sick like meat does but I can't believe how easy it is to not eat meat and find alternatives. Foods such as Quorn don't interest me, I'd rather eat just vegetables than eat a meat substitute. Fingers crossed I can stick to it, I also think for health and weight benefits, cutting out meat will reduce my calorie intake. I'm not sure what Christmas will bring but maybe I'll be able to stomach some Turkey.

  • Lastly. Blogging has been a bit hit and miss recently. I've been so busy with work and sorting out my new job, and by the time I get home, it's just not good lighting to take photos. Also, recently due to lack of money, I've not had chance to really buy any new beauty products so I've been shopping my stash and using up products I currently have - no doubt there'll be a empties post coming up. Once I get settled into my job and find some inspiration, I'll be back to my blogging self. Don't miss me too much ;)

  6. I have the same problem with meat for the past 3 weeks, Feel sick every time I eat just a piece. So I just stoped.
