Essie Me Up

Essie polishes in Ballet Slippers, Muchi Muchi, Tour De Finance, Tarte Deco, Power Clutch: £1.99 each

Say Hello to my new collection of Essie polishes! I've become an Essie convert over the past month and when I saw that the polishes were on offer on Fragrance Direct, I had to make an order.

Tarte Deco wasn't included in the order because I got that from the defusion line in a local Boots. I was pleasantly surprised when I received my order and saw that 3/4 brushes in the polishes were the new brush.

I've swatched all of these polishes and really like them, the only niggle I do have is that Muchi Muchi and Ballet Slippers are a tad sheer for my liking but I thought I could pair them with my new Nars polish and they're great for french manicure so I'm sure I will get my use out of them.

Tour De Finance was the one I was most excited about, it's a gorgeous hot pink on the nail and is really eye-catching. I've been wearing this on my toes.

And finally is Power Clutch, a gorgeous grey which will be my staple winter polish!

Have you tried any Essie polishes? What's your favourite shade?

P.S I've also signed up to Bloglovin, I'm new to it so follow me on there too :)

    1. I'm stuck with the problem of which colour to paint my nails for my birthday night out - it's a toss up between the pink and grey!

  2. I picked up a couple of polishes from fragrance direct and wish I bought more! Muchi Muchi was one of them and while I don't mind sheer polishes it was really streaky even after 3 coats. Too much hassle for me :) xx

    1. I was so disappointed with Muchi Muchi and Ballet Slippers, they're ok under glitter polish or for french but definitely far too sheer for a full coat.

  3. These are all so pretty! I think Power Clutch is my favourite :)
I find a lot of Essie polishes are quite sheer, and it's really disappointing, but like you said you could layer them up!

Your blog is wonderful, and I'm definitely following now :)

    1. Thank you, I'm really pleased with the two darker colours as they're opaque and even love Tarte Deco but the pale two I'm not so keen on, which is a disappointment. Can't really complain when they cost me £1.99 though!

Thank you very much, I'll check out yours too :)

  7. I adore Tarte Deco! I'm always too lazy to do more than one coat so that one sounds best :)
