Origins Checks & Balances Cleanser

Origins Checks & Balances cleanser: £17.00

I'm always on the hunt for a cleanser, I've tried so many and my previous one was Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish. If I'm honest, I didn't like it, I don't see how it is a "holy grail" product and I never ever felt like my make-up was properly being removed. Before the Liz Earle cleanser, I was using an Estee Lauder foaming cleanser which I loved. I really enjoy foaming cleansers because I feel like I'm working the product into the skin and you can see the make-up being removed.

Again, after my trip to Origins, I was keen to try out their cleansers. I love that the Origins products are all natural and that's one thing I didn't like about the Estee Lauder cleanser, I felt like it was too "artificial" (if any of you understand that?) but with the Origins cleanser, I know it's not.
What I love about Origins products is a little goes a long way. With this cleanser, you only need to apply a pea sized amount as it's thick in consistency and will cover the whole face and lather up adequately (the product does lather up more than what is shown on the photo). It has a spearmint scent but it isn't too overpowering, it's subtle and refreshing. When I remove this, I feel like my skin is properly cleansed and left feeling refreshed, softer and thoroughly clean.

I've had nothing but good results from using the Origins products at the moment and I can safely say it's my go-to skincare brand at the moment.

Origins Checks and Balances is available from Boots, Debenhams and online.

Monthly Favourites: June

As you may have noticed, my May favourites we're MIA. That was due to me mixing up my make-up and skincare and not really using anything enough to really class it as a favourite. I've been in the search for new skincare and make-up so I've been chopping and changing certain things and sadly, found nothing that I can really class as a favourite. But here are a few things I've found that I really am enjoying...
Origins GinZing: £21.00, Liz Earle Skin Tonic: £12.50/200ml, Revlon Lip Butter: £7.99, Balance Me moisturiser: £24.00/50ml

001. I posted previously that I went for a facial at Origins and I was talking to the woman and saying how much I needed an eye cream, anyway the woman told me that puffy, bagged eyes when you're older is due to heavy moisturisers and products which have clogged up under the eyes. This scared the life out of me and I snapped up the product as soon as I could. It's lightweight, sinks in easy and has a nice scent.

002. I received this mini Skin Tonic when I placed a Liz Earle order and I have to say this has such a beautiful scent. It's non-drying and leaves my skin feeling soft. I sweep this over my face using a cotton pad after cleansing or just to give my skin a boost before applying make-up.

003. I am a lip butter obsessive, I absolutely love this lip stick. I think it's so easy to wear and they're so many colours. My favourite is Strawberry Shortcake, it adds a perfect pop of pink and instantly brightens my face. And because it's a lip balm, it's nourishing on the lips.

004. This was a product I received in the What's In My Handbag try, it came in a little 10ml tube but the product definitely went a long way. I love how soft my skin felt after using this product and that it was very natural. I seem to be into more natural skincare at the moment. Glamour magazine are currently including Balance Me samples in their magazine this month if any of you fancy trying their products.
